The site is the online partner to the soon to be published book on customer service from the BSI entitled ‘ Quality Service, Competitive Business: Setting the Standard in Customer Service' written by Howard Kendall. The book is due out in April and to whet your appetite, here's a short extract of the good common sense advice :

You might ask why we need another site talking about customer service. Well, we do because all of the others usually don't tell you the whole story and don't refer to information, media sources, websites and publications that they perceive are competitive or simply that they don't like the organisations that run them.
Customerservice.co.uk is a true customer service community portal that will point you at all the best stuff it finds that might help you improve your service to customers - wherever it comes from.
We're building slowly, recycling, calling in favours and using very economic ( cheap or free! ) resource to get the site built, but that does mean we'll be able to provide something new of interest to you everytime you pop by for a look.
